Senior Legal Advisor

Our client is a well-known international advisory company operating successfully in Albania for many years.
Due to its business expansion in Albania and the region, our client opens the new vacancy of Senior Legal Advisor.

Role:

As a Senior Legal Advisor you will combine technical skills with practical commercial, legislative and industry knowledge to provide tailored advice to your clients and to build valued relationships with them and your internal peers. You’ll actively establish, maintain and strengthen internal and external relationships and make sure that the work delivered to clients is of high quality.

As part of this, you’ll anticipate and identify risks and escalate issues as appropriate. As an influential member of the management team, you’ll help to create a positive learning culture and will coach and counsel junior team members and help them to develop.

Responsibilities:

• Managing and participating in client engagements
• Managing engagement economics by organizing staffing, tracking fees and communicating issues to project leaders/ partners
• Participating in business development initiatives
• Managing assignments originating from the group international network and from locally developed clientele basis
• Understanding the strategy, priorities, challenges and concerns of each individual client
• Monitoring regulations, legislative activity and publications to stay abreast of changes in laws and regulations
• Helping people to develop through effectively supervising, coaching and mentoring staff
• Conducting performance reviews and contributing to performance feedback for staff
• Contributing to people initiatives, including recruiting, retaining and training of staff
• Maintaining an educational program to develop personal skills on an ongoing basis
• Understanding and following workplace policies and procedures
• Delegating work efficiently and building strong internal relationships

Requirements:

• Strong academic law background in both undergraduate and graduate level
• +6 years of relevant work experience in senior position with an international consulting firm
• Very good knowledge and multi-year experience in the commercial, labor law and tax legislation
• Specific experience in preparation and review of commercial contracts, in legal due diligence and structuring of SPA and JV agreements; or in any regulated industry such as Oil &Gas, pharmaceuticals, energy or banking will be considered a significant plus
• Knowledge of the Kosovo regulatory environment would also be an advantage
• Excellent knowledge of English
• Excellent PC skills
• Superior communication and writing skills; ability to write white papers on topical subjects for publications
• Ability to interact successfully with internal and external customers: partners, other team members and departments, and customers and various authorities
