Sales Engineer

April 2018

Our client is a multinational corporation operating worldwide in the manufacture of construction and industrial products. On their behalf, we are looking for an inspired Sales Engineer to drive the products sales through large scale construction projects.

Role:

As a Sales Engineer, you will make business with Construction Firms, Architects, Engineers and Consultants to provide them the best product solutions for their projects. Your main duty will be to increase the general level of sales and strengthen the brand locally as the main choice for high quality construction products.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with contractors and landing supply agreements for the company’s product categories
• Developing good business relations with new and existing customers, assessing their design needs and determining appropriate product offering.
• Achieving specific and quantifiable objectives and increasing brand loyalty.
• Providing necessary technical support to customers, including review of specifications and details, appropriate testing, on-site investigation and problem resolution.
• Providing samples and/or technical expertise for the trial, sale, manufacture or demonstration of products as required.
• Providing technical support to regional sales and field personnel on miscellaneous issues of the products.
• Delivering confident and enthusiastic product presentations to technical and non-technical personnel.
• Maintaining a sharp professional presence that properly mirrors the company’s values and world-leading brand.

Requirements:

• Technical Degree (Construction, Architecture, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering)
• 3 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in construction sector
• Professional aptitude with good problem solving, analytical and interpersonal skills
• Good persuading skills and ability to create and maintain lasting business relationships
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Good follow up skills, orientation to detail and ability to multi-task
