Experienced Drilling Engineer – Mining Industry

On behalf of our client, a company operating in the mining industry, we are looking for an experienced Mining Drilling Engineer

Role:

As a Drilling Engineer, you will be responsible for drilling operations and you will act as a liaision with third parties involved.

Responsibilities:

• Designing the technical drilling projects for the geological formations, based on the analysis and project of the geological team.
• Ensuring that all drilling activities are compliant with the designed drilling plan
• Liaising with subcontractors and other third parties and generating reports as per contract requirements
• Designing and creating necessary 3D models
• Defining and implementing special drilling regimes in cases of discovery of mineral-holding layers
• Taking necessary precautions for the avoidance of drilling deviations
• Controlling periodically the technical conditions of the probes and other drilling instruments, and ensuring their full operational capability
• Reporting relevant data to internal or external parties according to schedule
• Planning all necessary equipment maintenance programs, and defining needs for eventual repairs
• Compiling the liquidation programs in cases of malfunctions, and supervising its implementation

Requirements:

• 5 years of relevant experience
• Fluency in English language
• Very good knowledge of new drilling technologies and 3D Data Modeling / Mapping Production
• University Degree in Drilling, Geology or Mining
• Ability to perfectly operate drilling machines and equipment
• Excellent knowledge of the Technical Safety Regulations
• Excellent organizational and reporting skills
• Excellent communication skills communication skills and ability to work in groups
• Valid driver’s license
