Job Description
General Manager
December 2022Our client is a well-established company serving its Business and Consumer clients through its proprietary online Platform. It employs over 100 people of Technical, Business, Administration and Operational backgrounds.
To carry its ambitions for expansion in the next level, they are currently seeking to hire a professional with the right experience, competencies and determination to take the role of General Manager (GM) and sustain the shareholders’ vision.
Role:
The GM will report to the Shareholders Assembly.
GM responsibilities include formulating the strategy, managing and engaging teams/staff to increase productivity and ensure profitability and cash flow to boost expected fast growth of company. As such, GM should oversee and lead main functions of company, sales, marketing, operations, finance, IT development, HR and trainings, so they can cooperate, work effectively and efficiently in order to achieve main goals of the company: People Management, Business Development, Customer Satisfaction and Operations Optimization.
Responsibilities:
- – Design growth strategy, define needed resources to implement that strategy;
- – Oversee day-to-day operations;
- – Maintain budgets, optimize expenses and revenues;
- – Set policies and processes;
- – Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally;
- – Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations;
- – Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance;
- – Oversee finance, marketing, sales, operations, IT development, HR, recruitment policies and trainings;
- – Provide solutions to issues such as profit decline, employee relations, loss of business etc
- – Prepare regular reports for Shareholders’ Assembly;
Requirements:
- – GM has to be energetic and focused person, motivated and willing to put daily efforts to run properly the company.
- – She/he has to have analytic skills, to read well beyond statistics and draw helpful conclusions.
- – GM has to deal with teams with various life path, diversity of age, and some of them in positions handling high number transactions. As such, people skills are crucial to increase productivity, cooperation and positive company culture.
- – She/he should have managed a team of a minimum 10 persons in her/his career, have been exposed / interrelated / reported to high management positions in previous jobs, so is familiar with general manager role.
- – General understanding of functionalities in a business, such as finance, marketing, sales, IT, HR, operations is expected from the GM, in order to understand their problems and lead the teams.
- – GM has a sound business understanding and is able to read financials, formulate budgets, translate strategy into numbers.
- – GM is expected to represent the company well with different stakeholders and command respect in her/his circle of acquaintances.
- – The last but most important, she/he is a person with integrity reputation, as the person to cultivate positive, honest corporate culture, which are values of founding shareholders.
