Purchasing Manager

On behalf of our client, an international manufacturing company headquartered in Germany, AIMS International Albania is seeking to hire a Purchasing Manager, in order to support their growing operations in Albania.

Role:

As a Purchasing Manager, you will manage all aspects of purchasing to efficiently and cost-effectively support operations of a growing organization.

Responsibilities:

• Forecast levels of demand for services and products;
• Keep a constant check on stock levels;
• Ascertain that suppliers operate according to agreement, in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality;
• Liaise between suppliers and relevant internal departments;
• Build and maintain good relationships with new and existing suppliers;
• Monitoring the quality of service provided;
• Keep contract files and use them as reference for the future;
• Forecast price trends and their impact on future activities;
• Develop a purchasing strategy;
• Produce reports and statistics using computer software;
• Ensure suppliers are aware of business objectives;
• Train and supervise the work of other members of staff;
• Work with finance, administration and operations to ensure integrated internal controls, timely payment of vendors and full, auditable support documentation.

Requirements:

• At least 4 years experience in sourcing and vendor management;
• Bachelor’s degree;
• Strong analytical skills;
• Commercial awareness;
• The ability to adapt to different client needs and to develop and maintain successful working relationships;
• An excellent standard of numeracy in order to analyse facts and figures;
• A flair for negotiation and networking;
• The ability to make important decisions and cope with the pressure of demanding targets and tight deadlines;
• A confident and mature approach;
• Very good oral and written communication skills, in Albanian and English;
• Proficient computer user ,experience with ERP is an advantage;
